Human Resource Management, also known as Human Capital Management, is a study about managing the human resources of an organization. It is important to manage and take care of your employees, because without human capital no organization can run successfully. It acts as a base foundation for any organization. Human Resource Managers are responsible for taking care of their employees and the workplace itself. Human Resource Manager is a job position which is seen as a less privileged job. But, their job is vast in nature. They have to take care of all the departments of an organization and if needed, then they have to carry out the activities of different department apart, from their own work and responsibilities.

We often see such people who judge HR managers for their job regardless about the knowledge that what they have to do in the whole office hours. We listen such things that HR manager live their life peacefully, they don't have to do much work, they just sit in the AC rooms and just organize cultural programs in the organization and that's it. But, this is not the reality. The reality is harsh than it is predicted. HR Managers has to work not only to take care of its employees and workplace, but also they had to focus their goals upon organizational growth. They have to make plans and strategies for how the organization can perform well and gain competitive advantage over the market. They have to execute and implement new policies in the organization for effective workplace and efficiency is maintained over the employees.

While, human resources are known as the important capital of any organization, an HR manager has to take the retention point into consideration. Because, when an employee joins an organization, they come with some hopes, wishes and desires for which an organization can fulfill all their needs. So, it becomes the responsibility of an HR manager to come up over their expectations while taking care of the budget, for which the employees' needs are fulfilled and the cost incurred are less. They have to think all about these factors and plan strategically.

Nowadays, Employee Retention and Employee Engagement are becoming an important part of the Management. It is important that employees participate in the organization, not just only doing their assigned tasks, but also to come up with some new business ideas by which an organization can become successful in the competitive market. For example- Wipro and Infosys encourage their employees to come with some new entrepreneurial ideas for leading success of an organization.

If employees are given such opportunities in which they can participate and give their opinions regarding any important business decisions and to make any new business plans, then it will take an organization to a leading position in the market. For this ,the HR department and the whole organization must discuss such things.

Thus, HR department plays an important role in the organization, not only by developing it's employees but also the organization too.
